Intro

The NBA. One of the premier sports in both America and Canada is basketball and for very good reason. In the 2015/16 season alone the NBA amassed £5.87bn in revenue. That is a number many sports in Britain couldn’t even dream of seeing. So it begs the question why isn’t Basketball bigger in Britain? But that’s another question for another blog post, coming soon. However, I feel as if the NBA really doesn’t get the recognition that it deserves in the UK. Maybe it’s down to a lack of understanding or just being closed-minded. My love of the sport and my beliefs have culminated in this: A Brits Guide to the NBA. I will be covering everything from how the NBA works, the playoff system, trades, NBA draft and I will definitely go off on a few tangents along the way. I hope this helps you out if you are actively interested in basketball, you’re just getting into it, you just don’t fully understand it or even if you’re just trying to convince someone that you do.
